Known more for his prowess on the mound, this piece of today's Bat Man Special could be considered even more rare than any other historical collectible we've ever had the pleasure to offer - This is a Game Used Bat from the hands of Cy Young Award Winner Steve Carlton during the 1977 season, which Carlton signed and notated game use on the bat.
This Adirondack Big Stick signature model 241A bat was used by Hall of Fame pitcher Steve Carlton during the 1977 season as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1977 Carlton posted a 23-10 record and a 2.64 ERA on his way to winning the NL Cy Young Award. This uncracked bat measures 35" in length and shows moderate game use with the no. 32 printed on the knob in faded black marker. Carlton signed the barrel and included the inscription, "1977 Game Used," with his autograph.
Over his career Carlton also posted fine batting numbers, and in 1997 he belted 3 home runs while batting .268 with a .402 slugging percentage. This bat comes complete with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
Add this fine piece of baseball and Phillies history to your collection today!
